Overview
We are a Research Group of ICAR-CNR
The AI-ISA group has extensive experience in Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, and Signal Analysis, as well as deep expertise in Deep and Machine Learning. We design and develop AI models and methods for the automatic analysis of images, signals, and data that are difficult for a human operator to inspect.
Our activities include developing new learning algorithms for feature extraction and pattern classification, building generative and explainability models, designing Federated Learning algorithms based on Computational Intelligence, and creating lightweight AI solutions for edge and mobile devices.
The group has a strong application focus in Medical/Biological Imaging, Healthcare, and Agrifood & Environment.
It is coordinated by Giovanna Sannino and belongs to the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science thematic area of ICAR-CNR.
